Her stories is a collection of short stories by contemporary women writers of Bengal. They essentially reflect the juxtapositions of class and gender in the decolonized space of independent India. They script at the same time its disturbing representations mapping a wide cross section of society and culture. The stories are about women’s resistance to reconciliation with and rejection of patriarchal ideology.
